Chardonnay, Willamette Valley, 2017
This Chardonnay was fermented dry with wild yeasts that came in with the grapes from the vineyards. We believe this brings more character to the wine while encouraging a long cool fermentation. Furthermore, vines are over 35 years old and sustainably tended to. This wine has seen no new oak and is inspired by the style of Chablis rather than the traditional new-world chardonnay style. Crisp, bright, full of verve with pear and lemon zest. This was the first vintage we produced chardonnay and has quickly become the first wine Julia gravitates toward at the end of a day in the cellar.
